SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS
Elizabeth (Liz) P. Horne is a native of Columbia County. Liz was a seasonal employee of the Elections Office for 16 years. She was employed full time in the office for two years prior to her election in 2004. In addition to working in the Elections Office, Liz has been a business owner for 33 years and drove a bus for the Columbia County School System for four years.
Liz and her husband Leo have two sons and daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Liz is an active member of Hopeful Baptist Church, The Columbia County-Lake City Chamber of Commerce, The Downtown Action Corporation, CARC, The Florida Records Management Association, Seniors United, IACREOT, Kiwanis Club of Lake City, Board of Mason City Community Center, Stewardship of Hopeful Baptist Church Committee and The Red Hat Society. Within the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Election, Liz serves on The Elections Committee, The Rules Development Committee, The Communications and Publications Committee and is the Small County Chairperson.
